Directions for Keto-Friendly Mexican Beef and Cheese
Step 1- Prepare the beef
Break up your raw ground beef in a bowl and sprinkle with garlic powder. Sometimes I use
a bit of season salt or even add some red pepper flakes for a little kick, but
they are entirely optional.
Step 2- Brown ground beef
In a pan, until cooked through, drain the fat off the beef. Once finished add a couple of tablespoons of water, taco seasoning and cream cheese and return to the stove on low heat. You want the sauce to thicken up so stir everything together and keep an eye on it so it doesn’t burn.
Step 3- Add the cheese
Once the sauce has thickened, add in your cheese until it is melted. While the cheese
is melting, you can prepare your vegetables by adding lettuce to the plate.
When the cheese is melted, lay the mixture atop of the lettuce.
Step 4- Add the rest of your vegetables
Add tomatoes, green onions, salsa and sour cream. Sometimes I like to use pork
rinds as chips, or simply crumble the pork rinds atop for a bit of a crunch.
Enjoy!
